Policemen Position at unilag gate to stop student protest

ASUU Strike PHOTO-Update: Police Vans At UNILAG Gate
Several police vans have been positioned at the gate of the University of Lagos today, and a couple more were seen on campus.

It all started last week, when UniLag students, via various social media platforms, began inviting each other to take part in a protest that would likely commence at the university gate.

The Nigerian students want to stimulate the government to end the ongoing lecturers' strike. Among other things on the students' agenda is the reinstatement of Student Union Government (SUG) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and reversal on the hike in tuition fees at the Lagos State University (LASU).
