US Blackhawk Down military disaster remembered

BLACK HAWK DOWN was an incident which occured 20 years ago where US soldiers and hundreds of Somalis died when a Blackhawk helicopter was shot down in Somalia.

The incident happened during an attack by militants who disrupted a humanitarian aid mission.
The disaster, made famous in the film Blackhawk Down, is seen as one of the worst in American military history.
