KIM AND KANYE PUTS HOME ON SALE

About a month ago, it was reported that parents-to-be Kim and Kanye plunked down $11 million for a 10,000-square-foot Bel Air mansion.

Now it's being reported that the new Italian style home has been quietly put back on the market. That is according to The Real Estate Stalker.
Property records do indeed now reveal that in late January 2013 the couple - or at least Miss Kardashian through the same trust connected her former faux-Tuscan in the Bev Hills P.O.—coughed up an undisclosed amount of moolah for the big ol' Bel Air Crest crib in question that sits on three-quarters of an acre with scenic canyon and city views and was last listed with a $10,750,000 price tag.
However, don't count on K.K and Kanye to gut or expand the five bedroom and 6.5 bathroom mock-Med McMansion, as was previously reported they planned to do. In fact, don't even count on them moving into the damn house because, according to Patty, they are already in escrow to flip the pricey pad for about a million bucks more than the still unknown amount they paid for the place just three weeks ago.

BOKO HARAM RELEASES VIDEO OF KIDNAPPED FRENCH FAMILY

Boko Haram releases video of kidnapped French family
A video showing seven French citizens, including four children, kidnapped in northern Cameroun last week, has been posted on the internet.

The video, posted on You- Tube, appears to show the Moulin-Fournier family – a couple, their children aged five, eight, 10 and 12, and an uncle – who were seized on February 19 after visiting the Waza National Park, a wildlife sanctuary in northern Cameroun.

Three adults are seen sitting cross-legged with four children in front of them, guarded by two armed men in camouflage. A male hostage reads in French from a written statement, saying the group was taken by the Nigerian Islamist group, Boko Haram, who demand the release of militants being held in Nigeria and Cameroun. One of the guards speaks in Arabic in the video, claiming Boko Haram seized the group in retaliation for the French military intervention in Mali.

He says the hostages will be killed if their demands are not met. France’s Prime Minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault, said experts were examining the video to determine whether it was authentic. “[We] have received information that the group Boko Haram is claiming to be holding the French family,” Ayrault told reporters.
The film, if authentic, is the first time images of the family have been made public since they were kidnapped by six gunmen on three motorbikes close to the Nigerian border in northern Cameroun a week ago. Last week, the French government was forced to retract a statement saying the family had been freed.
The family were visiting from Cameroun’s capital, Yaounde, where the father, Tanguy Moulin-Fournier, worked as an executive with the French gas company GDF Suez.

The attack raised concerns that Boko Haram, whose name is often translated as “western education is sinful”, is increasing activities in other West African countries.
Witnesses in Mali described seeing Boko Haram members supporting al- Qaida-linked groups fighting there. Over the weekend, the French government changed travel advice to Benin, which borders Nigeria to the west, in light of the possibility of Boko Haram attacks against tourists. But Boko Haram, which declared a ceasefire five weeks ago, has denied involvement in the kidnapping.
At a press conference on Sunday in Maiduguri, a Boko Haram stronghold, spokesman Sheikh Abu Muhammad Ibn Abdulazeez said: “We have been hearing of late how people are linking us with the kidnap of the seven French nationals in Cameroun. We have nothing to do with the French people or their abductors.”

GOLDIE: LOW-KEY BURIAL RATTLES FANS AMID TRIBUTES

Goldie: Low-key burial rattles fans amid tributes
Many fans of Oluwabimpe Susan “Goldie” Harvey, who passed on February 14, appear rattled by the quiet burial accorded the music star in spite of expectations of fanfare. The late hip-hop artiste was buried yesterday at the Vaults and Gardens Cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos, at a funeral attended by close friends and family members.

Those present at the funeral included Andrew Harvey, her husband; Kenny Ogungbe (the owner of Kennis Music, her record label) Dele Momodu, Denrele Edun, Idowu Ogungbe, Shola Idowu (Weird MC), Karen Igho, Kenny St Brown and Essence, who are her mates on the record label.

Her controversial house mate at the Big Brother Africa, Kenyan born Prezzo, was absent. Prior to the burial, there were expectations that Goldie’s funeral would not only attract a tribute night by fellow artistes but also a commemorative musical recording by her colleagues in the music industry.

Her record label would offer no explanation why this was so. But her husband Andrew Harvey, who came into the country two days ago in his tribute described the years he spent with her as the best years of his life. He said: “Susan, you walked into my life, it was like God sent you as a fresh breath. I still remember your response to my first love message.

You said ‘Love killed Romeo, sent Diana to an early grave and killed Jack on the Titanic. Forget about love, just have friendship and live long.’ Overtime our love grew to a depth I have never known. You were the best years of my life, your smile, your desire to live your dream.” Denrele Edun, who constantly fought emotions during the funeral, described the late singer with very moving words, saying: “My lifeline, my lexicon, therapist and support system.”

No going back on N4bn First Ladies Peace Mission building –Presidency

The Presidency yesterday defended the proposed N4 billion African First Ladies’ Peace Mission building project, saying that to abandon the project would not augur well for the image of the country. Special Assistant on Media to the First Lady, Mr. Ayo Osinlu told State House Correspondents that despite the pressure being mounted on the National Assembly not to approve the Peace Mission building, there was no going back on the project.

According to him, the office of the First Lady would rather do whatever it can to sensitise the public and the legislature on the importance of the project. Osinlu said that the project was not for the office of the First Lady to defend as the Federal Capital Territory Ministry has responded appropriately.

He said: “I can assure you, without any doubt that it is far from the preference and far from the objective of the first lady to have the project turned down. One, it will amount to an abdication of responsibility by Nigeria and the diplomatic recklessness will be worst for the country.

Certainly, the First Lady will not expect Nigeria to behave in such a reckless manner. “The First Lady would not also want the project abandoned because it is an undertaking that the country has made to the continent. It means therefore that the credibility of Nigeria will drop significantly if it goes back on its deliberate and willing commitment to host such an organ for the continent and at the request of the continent. “Africa First Ladies Mission said, give us a secretariat and you agreed that you will do it and then five years after, you wake up and say you don’t want to do it again.

I don’t think that level of irresponsibility would be expected of Nigeria and the first lady won’t encourage that at all. “What I want to do here is to sound a note of warning and to read a public alert.

This is to the degree that we must be very careful and very observant and not allow ourselves to be seen by certain persons as instruments to drive very private and very personal political objectives. “If there are politicians and other persons in the society who desire to make gains out of this kind of confusion, we should be careful and not let them see and use us as instruments to drive such objectives,” he said.

WOW! OBAMA LIMO FEATURES ARE MINDBLOWING!

Obama’s Presidential Limousine Is A Rolling Fortress

President Obama's limousine, also known as The Beast, has eight-inch-thick doors made of tiatnium, steel, aluminum, and concrete.
The Beast, otherwise known as the Presidential Limousine, and POTUS’ ride is tricked out with more armor, high-tech gadgetry, offensive and defensive gear than a small battalion.
The precise specs of this modified Cadillac aren’t available to the public due to security concerns, but we do know The Beast swills a gallon of gas every 8 miles due to its heavy armor and size, its doors are a whopping 8 inches thick, and it’s made largely of titanium, steel, ceramic and aluminum.

It’s so fortified that almost no sound enters the cockpit, necessitating special microphones rigged on the body so the driver and passengers can hear what’s going on around the car.

It seats seven people including the President. The car carries its own oxygen, is equipped with a night-vision camera, firefighting system, run-flat tires, tear gas cannons, and steel wheels.
An undisclosed amount of Presidential blood in case of emergency is aboard and the car is impervious to biological attack due to a lock-down mechanism which, when deployed, seals the interior against a biological attack.
Communication with the other 45 cars in the motorcade for typical U.S.-based trips is accomplished via a command and control center liasoned with the White House Communications Agency Roadrunner vehicle, using encrypted information.
What the public doesn’t know about The Beast is subject to endless speculation, rumor and conjecture. Some of the unconfirmed features include:
• Infrared smoke grenades, which surround The Beast and make it a difficult target for enemies firing rockets or grenades
• Video system enabling driver to see in smoke, darkness, fog
• A price tag upwards of $300,000

CHRIS & RIHANNA BACK, READ FULL STORY: RIHANNA DEFENDS CHRIS BROWN

Rihanna has been in Hawaii celebrating her 25th birthday with her boo Chris Brown.

Although, there has been the 'erroneous intention' that Chris is mean and bestial since his 2009 assault on RiRi, the Barbadian songstress has defended him.
In a recent interview with Mirror Magazine, Rihanna defends her ex now current boyfriend, and explains why she took him back after he was convicted of assaulting her after a pre-Grammy's party in 2009.
"It's different now," she explains. "We don't have those types of arguments any more. We talk about [stuff]. We value each other."
When it's speculated that Chris doesn't exactly seem like he's changed, by losing his temper in public, Rihanna says:
"I know it comes off like that, And it doesn't help. For a long time he was really angry, there's so many reasons why I even reconsidered having him in my life.
He's not the monster everyone thinks. He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around. That's what I love about him - he always makes me laugh."

She's clearly forgiven Chris, and her dad has too - and she even reveals she wants babies. "Hell yeah, but I wish I could order them," she says. Yeah right... We birth babies RiRi, we don't buy them.

GOD TOLD ME TO GO --POPE BENEDICT

Pope Benedict XVI
Pope Benedict XVI
In an emotional goodbye to 100,000 supporters, the Pope revealed on Sunday  that he was stepping aside because God told him to do so.
In a voice raw with emotion, Benedict XVI told pilgrims in St Peter’s Square that he was resigning on February 28 because God had called on him to devote himself to prayer. He said God had told him ‘to climb the mountain’.

Mail Online reports that pilgrims filled the piazza to witness a historical moment and thank the Pope for his eight year Pontificate at the Angelus Prayer, his penultimate public appearance as the Pontiff.
Despite recently looking tired and frail,  he spoke in a clear, strong voice, repeatedly thanking the faithful for their closeness and affection as they interrupted him, again and again, with applause and cheers. Police estimated some 100,000 people turned out.

Benedict insisted he was “not abandoning the church.” Instead, speaking in Italian, he said he would  serve the church with the same dedication he had until now, but would do so “in a way more suitable to my age and my strength”.
He also said he would continue to serve through meditation and prayer after his historic abdication.
He completed the last Angelus of his tenure by saying he would always be close to the Church and its people.
A child in the crowd held up a sign on a yellow placard, written in Italian, ‘You are not alone, I’m with you’. Other admirers held signs simply saying ‘Thank you’.
Heavy rain had been forecast for Rome, and some drizzle dampened the square earlier in the morning, but when Benedict appeared, to the peal of church bells as the clock struck noon, blue sky crept through the clouds.
‘We thank God for the sun he has given us,’ the Pope said.
The 85-year-old will spend his last years in seclusion in a cloistered monastery within the confines of Vatican City.
The Pope officially steps down on Thursday. He resigned two weeks ago, saying he no longer had the mental or physical strength to lead the world’s 1.2bn Catholics. It is the first time a Pope has stepped down in 600 years.
Vatican-watchers have speculated that his declining health is a key factor.
It has subsequently emerged that the Pope had had a secret heart operation to replace a pace-maker three months ago.

Unbelivable! Kim Kardashian Ripped Nigeria Off $500,000 for 'No Show

American Reality TV star Kim Kardashian did her bank account no harm when she appeared at a Valentine’s Day concert in Lagos for a few minutes and walked away with some N82m. But her already questionable reputation has suffered some more.
Kim Kardashian was scheduled to headline Darey Art Alade’s Valentine’s gig with the catchy title ‘Love . . .Like a Movie’. What happened was certainly like a movie, the grand performances of the night, and Kim’s varnishing act. She came and left so fast if you had blinked, you would have missed her.
But the talking point was the money she was paid to make an appearance. $500, 000 (Half a million dollars), which translates as N 82. 5 m. That much. And Kim just walked in and walked out 45 minutes later and was back on the plane to the States. The cyber space has been agog with condemnation of her action and some have gone as far as calling the reality TV star a fraudster.
What was Kim Kardashian invited to do, anyway, since she has no obvious talent? She does not sing or dance and the acting she does on TV is said to be reality. Darey Art Alade brought her in to co-host the event with him. Her name did sell tickets, even if some of these tickets went for N100, 000. And those who paid this much had the distinction of being at a pre-event dinner where Kim K made a brief appearance as well.

The concert at Eko Hotel, one of Lagos’ premiere event centre, had Kim make a brief appearance and then left, confounding the audience. One of them was Charles Novia, ace Nollywood producer. “She came in at the beginning of the show and spent just forty-five seconds or so on stage! That was all we saw of her. She introduced herself and asked the audience to prepare for a night they wouldn’t forget and left. Shikena!
She was even glum, as if it was a task to just be there at all!” he wrote in an article. “If you ask me, there was no need for Kim Kardashian at all in this concert. None whatsoever! Was she paid huge sums and flown here to just introduce Darey? It didn’t make sense to many. My two cents on that would be that Darey’s management knew they had a great show planned but needed the ‘ooomph’ factor to pull in more crowds. And Kim Kardashian was that factor, perhaps. Anyway, the show would go down in the history of concerts in Nigeria as the best. I mean it!” he added.

The organiser, Darey Art Alade has been basking in the eulogies pouring in on Twitter over the success of the show, while carefully avoiding comments on Kim’s brief appearance which has agitated many people who feel the money paid to bring Kim to Nigeria was a total waste. Blogger and Publisher Jeremy Weate, in a blog post was not as kind when he described her action as 419, saying she had scammed the scammers.
Le Mitraillou twitting as @OlaHolloway said, “Kim Kardashian’s stay in Lagos reminds me of her marriage.” This is a snide reference to Kim’s fairy tale wedding to Kris Humphries, which enjoyed wide television coverage but lasted all of 72 days. The divorce is still ongoing while Kim has moved on and gotten pregnant for rapper Kanye West. Humphries has said he had been set up for the fall from the beginning just so Kim’s reality show can enjoy a boost.

Many guests at the wedding accused Kim of staging the event in order to make money from endorsement deals and the expensive gifts she was going to get, an allegation the reality TV star has denied. Whatever disappointments her brief appearance engendered, the likes of TuFace, 9ice, Iyanya, Timi Dakolo, Praiz, Waje and others who combined with Circque du Soleil an extreme theatre, made the night memorable for the audience in what has been described as one of the best organised concerts in the country.

NDLEA Rescues Nigerian Student From Death Sentence In Malaysia

Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have saved a Nigerian studying in Malaysia from premature death.
The 31 year old suspect, Dike Chibuzor Vitalis, was caught in possession of 1.430kg of white crystalline powder that tested positive for methamphetamine on his way to Malaysia where drug trafficking attracts death penalty.
He was intercepted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos during the screening of passengers on a Qatar Airline flight following the discovery of the drugs in his luggage.
Dike could have joined other Nigerians in death row in that country if not for the intervention of the anti-narcotic agency.

The suspect who hails from Orlu, Imo State said that he was promised $4,000 to deliver the drugs in Malaysia. In his words, “I was asked to take an empty bag to Malaysia for a fee of $4,000.
When I got to the airport, the drug was discovered. That was how I got involved”.
Speaking on the arrest, the NDLEA Airport commander, Mr Hamza Umar, explained that the drug was concealed inside the bag.

“The drug was industrially packed in a way that we have to cut the sides of the bag open with a knife to discover the drug. It will take a professional to detect the drugs” Hamza explained.
In a related operation, NDLEA officers at the Lagos Airport discovered wraps of cocaine inside packs of baby powder meant for export to Gabon.
The discovery was made inside a luggage containing artificial hair, perfumes and artificial nails.
